During this topic the children will be learning about other countries and places. Daisy, our class dog, is an adventurer! She loves to travel and visit places both home and abroad. We are looking forward to seeing where she gets to on her travels...
This is a lively and fun topic to teach children fieldwork and observational skills as they study the geography of their schools, the grounds and the key human and physical features of the surrounding environment.
During this topic, the children undertook fieldwork around Lowton. They created a map of the area around school and a poster about the village. They have placed Lowton within the context ofGreat Britain
During this topic the children learn about the formation and features of a river. They follow its journey to the sea and discover the role of the water cycle.
During this unit, the children learn about the amazing physical and human geography of modern Europe. They learn key facts and explore the varied countries that make up our European continent
Year 5 have studied rainforests around the world. They learned what they are, where they are, what they contain and who lives there! They have created video reports,as well as their own rainforests.
