Welcome to Year 4!
What a great start to Year 4! The children have returned to class very enthusiastically. This is an action-packed term and we can't wait to work with such busy bees!
This term, we have games on Tuesday and Thursday. Please can parents ensure the children have kits for outside activities on both days.
We have sent out leaflets with spelling lists for this half term, which will be tested each Tuesday.
Maths & Grammar books will go home each Thursday, to be returned by the following Monday, allowing time for staff to mark them.
This term, we have some exciting activities to look forward to!
Firstly, in November we have a cinema visit which is Y4s treat as all the class gained a gold award for excellence in the summer term.
At Christmas we will be going to Bolton Octagon to watch 'A Christmas Carol' as part of our English topic.
We also have field work, for science and geography. Our geography topic is Rivers - we will be exploring our local streams and tributaries. Our science topic is all about animals and their habitats. The nature garden will be our best place to begin! Parents who are able to join us and support with either of these activities are very welcome and should see either Mrs. Littlewood, Mrs. Valentine or Mrs. Jones.
