Today you are going to be writing your autobiography. This is a piece of writing that can't be rushed and written in a few sentences. It is the story of the first decade of your life - I'm sure there are lots of moments that you can write about from the past 10 or 11 years!

Remember that your writing should be in chronological order, starting from the moment that you were born and finishing in the present day. All the bits in between should be about the significant and memorable moments of your life so far; the moments that have made you who you are today. You will need to go into detail with your writing. If you are writing about school, tell me who your friends are, about your favourite trips, your first day at school, your favourite subject. .

Make sure that your writing is well organised. Your paragraphs need to have a clear theme. You could even give each paragraph a subheading such as 'Early Years' or 'Terrible Toddler!'

I have attached a success criteria for you to look at. A good piece of writing will be able to tick off most, if not all, of the objectives.

Have a read of the example autobiography that I have uploaded so that you can see what you are aiming for.
