Foundation Subjects

Get as active as possible this week and show me that you have on the Seesaw app.  You could:

  • Go for a walk
  • Go for a run
  • Skip 2 be fit
  • Go for a bike ride
  • Play in your garden
  • Follow online fitness videos (Joe Wicks)
  • Dance (Oti Mabuse)

If you submit your Skip to be Fit scores to me this week, I will put a certificate up on Seesaw for the child who gets the most skips.  Make sure you video yourself skipping and get someone to verify how many skips you get.

This half term, we are going to have a look at animals including humans.  This week, we are going to start with the skeleton.  Have a look at the PowerPoint presentation below and the activity sheet.  As an extra challenge, I would like you to create an information booklet about the skeleton which could be given to someone who might miss out on this lesson.  This doesn't have to be done as a booklet, you could create a PowerPoint, a labelled diagram or a verbal presentation.

To go alongside our Science lesson looking at the skeleton, I am challenging you to create your own skeleton this week.  Get creative, you could:

  • use chalk on a black background
  • use black and white paper
  • use cotton buds
  • create it using ICT
  • create a skeleton costume with a black bin bag and paper (obviously be careful if using plastic bags)
  • paper mache (you may just do a section of the skeleton e.g. the skull)

There are loads of ideas, have fun with it!

Make sure you have a go at logging into Yumu and have a go at one of the music sessions.

I am going to start the computing tomorrow on Seesaw and I will direct you to Purple Mash when activities are set to go on there.
