Foundation Subjects

Get as active as possible this week and show me that you have on the Seesaw app.  You could:

  • Go for a walk
  • Go for a run
  • Skip 2 be fit
  • Go for a bike ride
  • Play in your garden
  • Follow online fitness videos (Joe Wicks)
  • Dance (Oti Mabuse)

If you submit your Skip to be Fit scores to me this week, I will put a certificate up on Seesaw for the child who gets the most skips.  Make sure you video yourself skipping and get someone to verify how many skips you get.

This half term, we are going to have a look at animals including humans.  This week, we are going to have a closer look at the skeleton.  Have a look at the PowerPoint presentation below and the activity sheets.  By the end of looking at this lesson, I would like you to be able to name all of the bones in the human body with their common names and some with their scientific names.  There are worksheet which you can use to label each of the bones but this isn't the only way you have to do this.  You could:

  • Present the bones in the body using a diagram or yourself and talk about the bones.
  • Create a PowerPoint which goes through each of the bones of the human body.
  • Create a song or a poem which covers the bones of the human body.

Get creative with how you want to show me what you have learnt.

RE activities

Make sure you have a go at logging into Yumu and have a go at one of the music sessions.  I have added a new unit to this now so there is more to choose from.

I can't move you onto activities on Purple Mash until you engage with the discussion on our Blog on Seesaw, so please log on and get involved in the conversation which a few people have started and contributed to.
