Friday 26th February

Good morning Year 3.  Today there is some Maths, English, PE and Golden Time for you all.  Make sure you upload your work onto Seesaw so that I can have a look at what you have been doing.

Reading Plus and TT Rockstars

Start today by spending some time completing at least two sessions of your reading plus and some time practising your timetables on TT Rockstars.

Today you are going to have a recap session on Comparing Lengths.  Take a look through the lesson video (link below) and then give the attached activities a go.

Continuing with our work on homophones, today I want you to look at a different set.  By the end of the lesson, you will have a strong understanding of what the words your and you're mean and when we use them.

Have a look at the Poster attached and then give the activities a go.  Write the sentences out and either underline or write your chosen homophone in another colour.

Like the last few lessons, as an extension activity, I would like you all to make up your own sentences using your and you're.

Give me:

  • 1 sentence containing each homophone (2 sentences altogether)
  • 2 sentences using both of the homophones in each sentence.
  • 5 sentences which contain a combination of the different homophones which we have looked at this week.

  1. there, their and they're
  2. to, too and two
  3. were, where, we're and wear

Get active today and show me what you get up to on Seesaw.  Keep wrapped up and warm if you decide to do anything outside.

Golden Time

It's Friday and that means Golden Time.  Make sure you take some time to do something for yourself once you have completed all of your work.  Let me see what you get up to on Seesaw.
