Good morning Year 3. Today there is some Maths, English and another chance for you to get active for our usual PE lesson. Make sure you upload your work onto Seesaw so that I can have a look at what you have been doing.
We are continuing with our timestables work today and are looking at the 8s this time. There is a PowerPoint for you to have a look through and to engage with. There is then an initial activity which you can choose from (2 star and 3 star - 3 start being slightly trickier). There is then the main activity sheet which consists of 3 levels, the further through the worksheets you work, the harder the questions become. Give them a go and let me see what you have done on Seesaw.
I have also included the answers so you can self-check and mark to see how well you got on like we sometimes do together in class. There is also a multiplication grid in case this helps you with the work today as well.
Make sure you get onto Reading Plus and continue to complete lessons on there.
Grammar - Inverted commas
We started to look at writing narrative pieces last half term which we are also going to do this half term as well. So an important part of that is being able to write speech/dialogue. I want you therefore to use this lesson as a chance to get an introduction to speech and how to use inverted commas to show dialogue in our own writing.
Below is a PowerPoint presentation for you to run through and engage with. There are a number of activities to complete and the time to do these will be made clear as you look through the presentation. Where there are different versions (1 star, 2 star, 3 star) make sure you look at them all and choose the worksheet which you will find challenging but not too hard so that you are struggling.
Another note, in this lesson presentation, inverted commas are shown using single inverted commas 'like this' ... I would like you to use double inverted commas "like this"...
Good luck Year 3!
Get active today and show me what you get up to on Seesaw. Keep wrapped up and warm if you decide to do anything outside.
It's Friday and that means Golden Time. This week has been a hard and unexpected week for everyone so make sure you treat yourself with a bit of Golden Time ... after you have done your work of course.
let me see what you get up to on Seesaw.
