Geography

This week we are back to our United Kingdom topic. For today's activity, you have been provided with a blank map of the UK.

The UK is split into areas known as regions. We live in the North West area of England. England is split into 9 different regions. These regions are: North West, North East, Yorkshire and the Humber, Greater London, East of England, East Midlands, West Midlands, South West and South East.

Your task today is to mark these regions on the map. You could use an atlas or an online application to do this. Once you have marked the regions onto the map, could you find and label a city from each region? For example, for the North West you could mark Manchester or Liverpool on the map.

You are only doing this activity for England. You are not labelling anything in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
