Good morning Year 3. Today there is some Maths, English and Computing for you to have a go at. Make sure you upload your work onto Seesaw so that I can have a look at what you have been doing.
Reading Plus and TT Rockstars
Start today by spending some time completing at least two sessions of your reading plus and some time practising your timetables on TT Rockstars.
Continuing with statistics this week, we are looking at bar charts today. Have a look at the video (link below) and then give the attached activities a go. Look out for our usual input video.
Look at this week's spellings (Week 5) and complete the Scrabble activity which is attached for the spellings which you are learning.
This week, we have yet another theme for our English work. Last week we were looking at the theme of Expressing Ourselves - Children's Mental Health Week. This week, on Tuesday, it is Safer Internet Day. So we are going to think of this for our theme this week.
To start off with, I want you to complete the attached wordsearch. When you have found all of the keywords, I want you to create a glossary for them all. This is like a small dictionary of words and gives their definitions. If you need to use a dictionary or the Internet to find out what the words mean/are then that is fine.
Once you have completed your glossary, send us a picture over Seesaw and then challenge yourself to complete the attached crossword puzzle.
This week is a chance for you to create your own presentation using all of the skills which we have looked at over the past few weeks.
This presentation will be an informative presentation which tells me and your audience about something. I am giving you a bit of freedom when it comes to choosing what your presentation is about as you will most likely engage with the task more if the content of it interests you. It could be a presentation about the Stone Age, a particular sport, a team, a game you enjoy playing, a hobby that you have ... have a think and choose something that you know quite a bit about and are interested in. Make sure you choose something that is sensible and age appropriate though...
Your presentation should:
Good luck! Can't wait to see what your presentations are on.
