Mr Hughes' Transition Day Activities - 1st July

Hi Year 2!  Hopefully you have been on Seesaw and seen my message.  It's true... I have taken over your Seesaw page for today!  Don't worry though, Mrs Cunningham can still see all of the work that you will do today.  Make sure you check the video which is on the Video Resource Centre page of the website too.

The activities I have set for you today are all about me getting to know you and you having a chance to tell me how you are feeling about moving into Year 3 and more importantly... THE JUNIORS!

The first thing I would like you to do is make me a short video (if you don't mind) and introduce yourself.  Tell me who you are and a few interesting things about yourself.  That way I can start putting names to faces and we I will try my best to remember them all... I can sometimes be forgetful so I will try me best!

The second activity is called 'I am an amazing person' because ... you all are amazing and I want you to show me just how amazing you all are.  Complete the sentences in the stars and when it comes to telling me your special talent, if you want to send me a video to show me your talent, then definitely go for it whether it is singing, dancing or doing keepy ups.

The next activity is a small transition booklet.  This is just an activity for me to get to know a bit more about you but also for you to tell me anything that you are looking forward to in Year 3 but also anything that you are worried about.  Post these pages on Seesaw and I will try my best to make you feel a bit better about anything you are worried about and answer any questions you have.
The next activity is a chance for you to get artistic.  I would like you to design a shield which would represent you.  You can draw pictures of anything that you think might show who you are.  It could be a microphone if you like to sing, a book if you like to read, a ball if you like to play sports ... anything that tells me about you.

Finally, after completing all of these activities, if there are any questions you want to ask, then send me them on Seesaw and I will do my best to answer them.

Have fun Year 2!
