Good morning Year 3. Today there is some Maths, English, Art and Music for you to have a go at. Make sure you upload your work onto Seesaw so that I can have a look at what you have been doing.
Reading Plus and TT Rockstars
Start today by spending some time completing at least two sessions of your reading plus and some time practising your timetables on TT Rockstars.
Today you are going to have a recap session on using Pictograms. Take a look at the lesson presentation and then give the activities a go. Work through the fluency, then the reasoning and then give the problem solving questions a go.
Today you are going to write a non-chronological report about how you can use a particular online platform safely. To start off with, I want you to complete the attached digital footprint worksheet.
Our digital footprint is like a footprint which we leave online. Everytime we do something online, send a message, search for something, play a game, it is logged somewhere and leaves a footprint like footprints in the sand. This is very important as it means people who use the internet for things that they shouldn't use it for (for example, sending horrible messages to someone) can be found and evidence gathered about what they have done.
To complete this worksheet, I want you to write or draw logos of all of the things you use the internet for. This will give you an idea of what your digital footprint looks like. These things could include Youtube, Amazon, Xbox Live, Facetime, Snapchat ... anything that you use that is based on or over the internet.
Once you have competed this, I want you to pick the way in which you use the internet which you feel you do the most or know the most about. You are then going to create a non-chronological report which gives information on what it is and advice on how you can use it safely.
For example, lets say we were doing our report on Xbox Live, our subheadings might include the following:

Bit of a change this week. With us having done a lot of work around the Stone Age and our book ‘Stone Age Boy’, I thought we could finish the half term with a bit of an art activity.
I would like you to create some cave painting designs. Try to use whatever you have available to you but get creative with what you are doing.
You could use pens or pencils on paper, create them using a paint software of your computer, use an art app on Purple Mash, use chalks on a wall outside your house (obviously if parents/carer at home don’t mind), you could even create your artwork on a game such as Minecraft. We did this last year and some children even created Stone Age villages on their Minecraft games.
In school I plan to use pastels and stencils to create the cave painting type artwork as well as paints to colour in a piece of paper and then scraping designs into it using the end of the paintbrush.
