Wednesday 3rd February

Good morning Year 3.  Today there is some Maths, English, Science and History for you to have a go at.  Make sure you upload your work onto Seesaw so that I can have a look at what you have been doing.

Reading Plus and TT Rockstars

Start today by spending some time completing at least two sessions of your reading plus and some time practising your timetables on TT Rockstars.

Maths

Although we are part way through the week, we are going to move away from our topic of money in maths and do some recap work to prep us for some Year 3 content around statistics.  Today you are going to do some recap work on making tally charts.  Have a look at the video (link below) and give the attached activities a go.

English

Attached are 3 reading comprehensions for you to choose from and complete.  These are all based around our theme of this week working around Children's Mental Health.  Remember, the more stars, the more difficult the reading comprehension so choose one which will challenge you appropriately.

You also have access to the answers so look through them once you have completed the comprehension, mark your work and see how well you did.

Science

Today you are going to continue looking more at the different types of rocks.  You are going to first look at how sedimentary rocks are formed.  Use the link below to take a look at the lesson which has been put together on the Oak National Academy website.

History

Today we are going to look at the differences between the different periods during the Stone Age which you looked at last week.  You will do this by watching and engaging with the lesson which is on the Oak National Academy.  The link to this is below.
