As part of our world cup topic, each class has been learning about a different country that will be taking part in the 2014 world cup.

As part of our celebration, we had a very exciting 'food tasting' day, where children went into the hall and could sample foods from other countries! The children had a fantastic day and we were all very impressed by their willingess to try new and unknown foods.

Here are some example of the food on offer...

Brazil - Rainbow sandwich (made of vegetables), fresh papaya
Spain - Spanish tortilla, Magdalenas
France - Brie, Baguette and crepes
Greece - Argentinian beef and chorizo
England - fish and chips, victoria sponge cake
Japan - Fried rice, ricecrackers and japanese tea
Mexico - Tacos and chilli con carne
