A 'Welcome to Year 2' meeting was back in July. This outlined expectations as well as information about topics covered this year, PE information and homework dates. Just in case you missed any of the important things to remember, here they are:

Homework - Posted on ClassDojo on Friday - upload reply by Thursday.

Spellings - Year Two spellings will be published half termly on ClassDojo. The children will be tested each week on Friday's. The children will be taught the spellings in class each week before they are sent home. 

PE/Games - Monday and Tuesday, although this could change each term. All children need to come to school in their PE or Games kits, wearing pumps or trainers.  Please ensure they have their games kit on in colder weather as we will be outside even if it's chilly.

Reading books  - Two books will be issued each Friday. Books to be returned on Thursdays. Please upload comments on ClassDojo or send in a written note.

Reading Challenge books - These are given out on average every 3 weeks. Children have plenty of time to enjoy the book and fill in a book review to be returned by the date set each time.

Water Bottles - Please ensure your child brings a clearly labelled water bottle everyday, this should be water and not flavoured water or juice.

Snack- Children are provided with a snack for playtime if you wish to send your child in with their own snack this must be fruit only.  We are a nut free school so children will not be allowed to eat any cereal bars and will be given school provided snack instead.
