Welcome to Year Six
Welcome back and a very warm welcome to Year 6! We have a great year to look forward to with an exciting, packed curriculum and not forgetting our residential trip to Low Bank Ground in February 2024. We also have an exciting electricity workshop planned in January too! (see full details below)
PE/GAMES ** PLEASE NOTE A CHANGE IN PE DATES **
Our PE and Games days are now Thursday and Friday. Please ensure that children attend school in the correct kits on these days.
Children are expected to complete 3 sessions of Reading Plus every week, to be regularly reading their reading challenge books (see below) and to complete their book reviews on time. Books will be changed on Wednesdays.
Children will be tested on their spellings every Thursday.
Every child has been issued with a reading book. Each child will be expected to complete a book review after they have read their book. Children are encouraged to read every day at school and home. Please note that books are only changed on Wednesdays. If a child requires an extension on their reading book, they must speak to an adult in class.
Every child has a reading book to read over the Christmas period. All books to be completed, reviewed and returned on Wednesday 10th January 2024.
