  • Low Bank Ground update

    Wed 16 Dec 2015

Another excellent day! The children are now relaxing and playing games in the common room after a very busy day orienteering, ghyll scrambling, National Trust conservation and taking part in a self-led walk. They're thoroughly enjoying themselves (as are the staff!) and have been a real credit to our school an you, their families.

Unfortunately the server is down and so internet access is limited. We will give the children the opportunity to write a blog this evening and I will hopefully get chance to upload them at some point tomorrow, along with some photographs, so keep checking!

    Mr Kearon.

After arriving safely, settling in and having lunch the children went canoeing. Some of the children went up 'Croc Creek' while others carried out a rescue mission to collect lost buoys that had been carried away during the floods.

The weather was good and the lake extremely calm.

After sleeping well the children are busy doing their daily tasks and looking forward to the activities today.

  • Friends from Hitekani

    Thu 25 Jun 2015

We look forward to welcoming our friends from Hitekani Primary School, to St Catherine's next week. We have many things planned including a welcome assembly, followed by traditionally British tea and cake!
There is also an artist in school all week working with all the children to create a whole school piece of art.
We also have water aid, the charity, in school to work with different groups and classes.
It is such a busy week, but the children really enjoy having visitors in school and they learn lots about the different cultures and school experiences in South Africa.
